Buy unstitched suits online in Pakistan, from lawn and dhanak to khaddar and wash and wear. Most are women's three piece suit lengths with a dupatta, and there are men's suit lengths too, ready to take to your own tailor.
For women, the fabrics are lawn, dhanak, linen, viscose and silk. Examples include an embroidered lawn 3 piece in blue, a blue embroidered dhanak suit, a peach digital print silk suit, a blue lawn suit with embroidered trouser and a blue viscose suit. Dupattas come in chiffon, wool shawl or digital print, depending on the suit. For men there are khaddar, wash and wear and cotton sotton lengths, cut at 4 to 7 metres.
Match the fabric to the season. Lawn is for warm weather and is too thin for January; dhanak is heavy and warm, so buy it for the cold months; khaddar is the usual winter choice for men. Chiffon dupattas are delicate, so hand wash gently or dry clean and press on low heat. Because the suit is unstitched, read the length on the listing, and for men check the cutting against your build and the style your tailor will make. It is also worth asking your tailor whether the cloth should be washed once before cutting.
